Test-taking is a skill that needs to be mastered over time. In order for your child to accurately demonstrate their competence of any given text or problem that they are seeing for the first time; they must be immersed in practice.
This familiarity will foster the CONFIDENCE to demonstrate their LEVEL OF COMPETENCE.
